Under Construction - 'cause I still have more to
scan. Updated March 01, 2007
To speed downloading and have room for as many pictures as possible, the resolution has been optimized for display.
This means that although you can print them, you'll probably be disappointed in the picture quality
because it will be no better than you see on screen and the images themselves
will be smaller. The Photo Gallery has been separated into several sections for easy browsing:
Arilbred
Categories is a hybridizing section, with separate pages devoted to
crosses within and between fertile families.
Crosses provides Sibling
Sheets (most of which have photos of both parents as well as
representative seedlings from the cross). and Descendant Pages (which show a
variety of descendants of prolific breeders.
Cultivar Portraits
presents only registered clones, organized into five "slide
shows" by type: Arilbredmedians,
1/4-breds, 1/2-breds,
3/4-breds, and Aril
Hybrids.
Posters are like the Educational
Exhibits you see at Iris Shows.
Quizzes offers a few
examples I used in presenting programs to iris societies.
Seedling Beds provides some
insight into the evaluation process, presenting some of the seedling pictures
posted elsewhere in a different way.
Seedling Portraits presents
a wide range of seedlings, from run-of-the-mill to worthy of introduction.
Species Portraits
provides a selection of "mug shots", with more detailed information
about the species themselves in the Library.
Thumbnails has been set
up for those who like to just wander through the seedling patch. This page has a wide selection, but because it is so
large it takes a long time to
load.
